indi·go film festival 2026
The Indi⋅go Film Festival is a one-night, community-based celebration in Los Angeles that brings the independent film and the dance communities together under one roof to watch, connect, and celebrate the work we create. Now in its third year, Indi⋅go has sold out every edition, with last year's festival drawing a packed house of filmmakers, dancers, choreographers, and film lovers.
We built this festival on a simple belief: independent film is best experienced together. There's no velvet rope here and no industry posturing. You can expect a full theater, an engaged audience, and a night designed for genuine connection. Filmmakers don't just screen at IFF; they meet collaborators, find their next DP or choreographer, and leave with people in their corner. We are thrilled to be in a place where we can still offer zero submission fees.
Our selection process is through a panel of currently working professionals from L.A.’s dance and film industries.

The atmosphere upon entering the space was one of casual comfort, where everyone was welcomed and made to feel at home. Truly many knew each other and the event was well anticipated among the followers of Indigo Dance Company. Many spread blankets and pillows out on the floor and laid back to take in the films. There was a serenity and a pleasant excitement of what was to come”.
